Search Engine Optimisation Tips
See below some recommendations on using title and meta tags:
Please use these as a guideline as to the content that should be used for these fields.
These fields are applicable to pages, products, brands and categories within LiquidShop, you can access these by clicking the 'Advanced Options' link next to the update button on these pages.
You will be given three options, by default the metadata is set to 'Automatic' so the content is automatically generated by LiquidShop, the other two options are; 'Append' in which you can add to the content that has been automatically generated, or manual which allows you to completly rewrite the metadata. Once you have made your modifications, simply click update as you would with any other change to a product, page, brand or category.
Title Tags
Use a maximum of ten to twelve words in your title tag or up to 70 characters including spaces. It is useful to use your company name in a title tag. Ensure that yout title tag includes keywords and phrases, and that it reflects the text content of the web page it refers to. For example:
Homepages and other Information Pages
Sitemakers eCommerce website design and development
Children's pedal cars and ride-on toys at the Pedal Car Shop
Photovision Studios Wildlife Photography Prints and Posters
Product Pages (Include the product title and the company name)

Description Tags
Description and keyword tags are not essential as they have no influence on your search engine positions in Google. However it is good practice to use these tags for lesser known and used search engines. Ensure that your description tag reflects the text content of the page it refers to. A maximum of around 200 characters is quite sufficient.
Keyword Tags
Your keyword tag should simply list the keywords included in the page the tag refers to. Use commas to seperate the keywords.
