Related Products
The use of related products is a very useful way to suggest additional products that a customer may want to add to an order, a related product may be gift wrapping to go with your gifts section of the site, or it may be a pair of trousers that are often brought with a particular jacket.
How to set up Related Products
To set up a product relation, you will need to locate your product within the backoffice Product Browser window, you can then use the relevant action icon.
You will be taken to this window, on the left hand side you can see any existing product relations, on the left you can filter by category to the product you would like to relate to your core product. You will then have the option of a one-way or a two-way relationship.
Where do they appear on my website?
Any product relations that are set up on your site will appear on the relevant product page, either on the right or the left colum or below the product depending on the design of your site, we can also set your related products to appear at the checkout.
Automatic Relating of Products
You can now set your products to automatically relate within LiquidShop, to do this you will need to inform us of the number of times you believe two products need t be ordered together as part of the same order, we will then set this up for you.
Any automatically assigned product relations can be identified within the backoffice with the icon indicated below.
It is important to consider that although two products may be purchased together 3 times, they may not necessarily related, this auto-relating feature will automatically build up related products for you, but it is still possible to manually override this feature and remove certain product relations.
